The selected highlights below demonstrate a proven capability in the areas of people, change and process improvement:
o Mining Company – process improvement work for procurement and supply chain. Process mapping, performance measurement, determining improvement opportunities and waste elimination, project prioritisation, project chartering and providing a governance structure for the program of work. Design of Lean information boards for procurement and supply chain.
o Agricultural retailer – facilitation of teams (retail network and Insurance) to understand their processes and develop programs of work to improve those processes. Developing the ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ for administration and sales support functions in the branch network based on realising centralisation and standardisation opportunities. Development of program and project management guidelines, tools and templates. Strategy to Operations development of metrics for scorecards and dashboards. Process mapping of core business processes using BPMN.
o Electrical distributor, NZ – audit of the asset creation and management process for the lines business and recommendations for process simplification and standardisation and a structure to manage these processes. The initial scope was extended to include the redesign of the group structure and futher work awarded to implement the recommended changes to the lines business.
o Consumer products manufacturer – program management for a demerger program and project support to a number of major projects. Facilitation of 3 breakthrough teams leading to a 5% reduction in the Supply Chain cost base.
o Oil and Gas, downstream – Introduction to Lean, roll out of foundation level systems and tools, coaching and mentoring autonomous work groups. Support the development of a continuous improvement program to assist a national improvement roll out. Leadership awareness training.
o Mining Ground Support Company – initial remit was to conduct a business review and provide improvement recommendations. Subsequent work was to combine the recommendations with existing initiatives into a program of work to transform the organisation. Develop a program governance structure, coordinate and support the improvement program.
o Construction and Mining equipment manufacturer – spend analytics, development of procurement category strategies and plans on a contestable spend of $300m and action plans to deliver 7% savings
